As more and more NFL games are being scheduled to play in London, many are wondering if the NFL is planning to eventually move a franchise across the Atlantic and into Europe. This year, 3 games were played in London’s Wembley stadium with 3 more scheduled for next year. In the 11 games that have been played in London since 2007, the lowest attendance was 76,981. While these numbers express a...
Can the NFL expand into Europe?
World Series Recap
Madison Bumgarner cemented himself as one of the greatest pitchers in World Series history as the San Francisco Giants held on to beat the Kansas City Royals in Game 7 on Wednesday night. In the 3 World Series he has pitched in (which totals to 36 innings), Bumgarner is 4-0 with a .25 ERA. Having now won 3 of the last 5 World Series many consider them to be baseball’s most recent dynasty. With...
World Series Predictions
ALCS and NLCS Recap: I had the Royals winning, but I was shocked to see that they were able to sweep the Orioles in 4 games. While I was wrong with my Cardinals in 7 games prediction, I am going to attribute that to Molina missing most of the series with an oblique injury.
MLB Championship Series Predictions
So far the playoffs have not treated me kindly. In the divisional round I went a lackluster 1 for 4 with my predictions. While the Giants won like I predicted, the Cardinals made Clayton Kershaw look mortal, the Orioles beat up the Tigers(especially their bullpen), and the Royals shocked the world and continued their run as baseball’s Cinderella story. Here are my (hopefully more accurate)...
MLB Playoff Predictions- Divisional Round
Detroit Tigers vs. Baltimore Orioles This series is very tough to predict. The Orioles have surprised again this year, but I just can’t pick against Detroit’s star power and experience. Expect the Orioles to put up a fight, but don’t expect them to overcome the power pitching of Scherzer and Price and the power hitting of Cabrera, Victor Martinez, and J.D. Martinez. The only way I see the Orioles...
2014-2015 AFC Predictions
Difficult to pick against Tom Brady and the Patriots in a division where he is the only proven quarterback. I am expecting to see improvement from Geno Smith and the Jet offense, just not enough to overtake New England. I am not really impressed with the Dolphins and I don’t see E.J. Manuel as the long-term solution at quarterback for the Bills.
2014-2015 NFC Predictions
It’s that time of year again! Tonight kicks off the NFL season as the Seahawks and Packers, 2 top NFC contenders, face off in a must-watch game. In the spirit of this, I’ve outlined each division below and which teams I think will come out on top. I think the Eagles will win what should be a very close division race...
Ferrari 2000-2004: the history of a domination (3)
The 2001 season is a long red monologue, with Schumacher winning nine races out of 17, reaching almost to double (123 points to 65) the runner-up, the Scottish David Coulthard on McLaren. Even more damning is the domination of Scuderia Ferrari in 2002, the year in which Schumacher, winning the fifth...
Ferrari 2000-2004: the history of a domination (2)
At the time of his arrival at Ferrari, Schumacher is, no doubt, the present and the future of Formula 1. He has already won two consecutive world titles and he’s still 27 years old. He’s fast under all driving conditions, he’s enterprising and bold. In 1994, Schumacher wins his first title at the end of a very difficult season, marked by the tragic Imola weekend (with the deaths...
Ferrari 2000-2004: the history of a domination (1)
No one in 1979 could have imagined that the Drivers title just won by Jody Scheckter was the beginning of the longest absence of Scuderia Ferrari from the top of the Formula 1. The Eighties, with turbo engines protagonists of the stage, become the undisputed realm of the British teams Williams and McLaren...
